Getting Started
How do I create my first event?
Click the "Create Event" button from your dashboard. You can either describe your event to our AI assistant and it will generate a complete plan, or start from one of our pre-made templates. The AI will help you set up days, locations, tasks, and participants in minutes.
Is EventCortex free to use?
Yes! EventCortex offers a free tier that includes creating events, inviting participants, and using basic AI features. Premium features like advanced AI planning and unlimited events are available with our Pro subscription.
What types of events can I plan with EventCortex?
EventCortex is perfect for any type of event - birthday parties, weddings, corporate meetings, team offsites, game nights, trips, conferences, and more. Our AI adapts to your specific event type and provides relevant suggestions.
Do I need to download an app?
No download required! EventCortex is a web application that works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for quick access from your home screen.
How do I invite participants to my event?
Go to your event's manage page and click "Invite Participants". You can share a unique invite link, send email invitations, or generate a QR code. Participants can RSVP and view event details without creating an account.
Creating & Editing Events
How does the AI event planning work?
Simply describe your event idea - like "weekend camping trip for 8 people" or "surprise birthday party for my mom". Our AI analyzes your description and generates a complete event plan including schedule, locations, tasks, and suggested activities. You can then customize every detail.
Can I edit my event after creating it?
Absolutely! You have full control to edit any aspect of your event at any time. Change dates, add or remove days, update locations, modify tasks, and adjust participant details. All changes are saved automatically and participants are notified of important updates.
What are event templates?
Templates are pre-built event plans created by our team and community. They include suggested schedules, tasks, and activities for common event types like weddings, birthday parties, team retreats, and more. Use them as a starting point and customize to your needs.
Can I add multiple days to my event?
Yes! EventCortex supports multi-day events. Add as many days as you need, each with its own schedule, locations, and tasks. Perfect for trips, conferences, or weekend celebrations.
How do I add locations to my event?
Click "Add Location" within any event day. You can search for places, add addresses, include notes, and even attach images. Participants will see location details and can get directions directly from the event page.
Managing Participants
How do participants RSVP to my event?
When participants receive your invite link, they can view event details and RSVP with one click. They can mark themselves as "Going", "Maybe", or "Not Going". You'll see all responses in your event dashboard.
Can participants see other attendees?
Yes, by default participants can see who else is attending. This helps with coordination and builds excitement. You can adjust visibility settings in your event's privacy options if you prefer to keep the guest list private.
How do I assign tasks to participants?
When creating or editing tasks, you can assign them to specific participants. They'll receive notifications about their assignments and can mark tasks as complete. Great for potlucks, group trips, or any event requiring coordination.
Can I remove a participant from my event?
Yes, as the event organizer you can remove any participant from the manage page. Click on the participant and select "Remove". They will no longer have access to the event details.
Account & Billing
How do I create an account?
Click "Get Started" and sign up with your Google account or email. Magic link authentication means no passwords to remember - we'll send you a secure login link via email whenever you need to sign in.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Go to your Profile page and click "Upgrade to Pro". You'll see our pricing plans and can subscribe with a credit card. Pro unlocks advanced AI features, unlimited events, and priority support.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your Profile page under "Subscription". Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your billing period. No questions asked, no hidden fees.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Profile page and scroll to "Account Settings". Click "Delete Account" and confirm. This will permanently delete all your data including events, and cannot be undone.
AI Features
What can the AI assistant help me with?
Our AI assistant can generate complete event plans from a simple description, suggest activities and tasks, recommend locations, create schedules, and help you think through logistics. It learns from your preferences to provide better suggestions over time.
How accurate are the AI suggestions?
Our AI is trained on thousands of successful events and provides relevant, practical suggestions. However, all suggestions are just starting points - you have full control to accept, modify, or reject any AI-generated content.
Can the AI help with an event I've already started planning?
Yes! You can chat with the AI at any point during planning. Ask it to suggest additional activities, help with scheduling conflicts, recommend venues, or brainstorm ideas. The AI considers your existing plans when making suggestions.
Is my event data used to train the AI?
Your privacy is important to us. We do not use your personal event data to train our AI models. The AI is pre-trained on general event planning knowledge and only uses your data to provide personalized suggestions within your session.
